Finding love through music
Now this is for all the married couples, or couples in general, something that has been bugging me for awhile. Is the main reason yall “clicked” was because of music? Would you ever have loved your soul mate if they liked a different style than what you like? I am doing a little research to figure this out to write a follow up a little later.
I feel music is strong enough to deter some people away from somebody who has everything else in common. Everybody has a “song” and what if they never get that. What if there never is that one song they can agree for on the wedding, never a song they had when they said goodbye, never a song for…. You know. If you had a favorite song, or a favorite artists your girl hated, what would you do? Let me hear what everybody has to say. Me personally, music is the first topic I ask a girl, second of course is family. Most don’t get past the first before I lose interest.

k- it depends! it’s definitely nice to have the music thing in common, but…
even if we don’t like the same stuff, sometimes i realize i could easily fall in love with what he loves, which makes it an even cooler match. music is my passion, i’m always looking for more of it, and if you have everything in else in common with someone, chances are their music should work for you on some level too. listen to each other’s music, and then find new music to listen to together– bonding experience!

If we do not initially like the same music, i usually am introduced to something new, which I love. It probably isn’t a deal breaker if we don’t have the same taste in music, but I can definitely see how it can cause drama. Example, this summer I was on a road trip with my sister and her boyfriend and he wanted to listen to reggae and she wanted to listen Rihanna. The boyfriend ended up getting his way (unfortunately for me as well). My sister got super upset and the entire weekend was like World War 3….and now they are broken up! I’m just saying that maybe if he would have played Rihanna for her they may still be together!! Lesson for me, never go on a road trip without bringing your own iPod!!
